Protocol at Macclesfield Clinics
( Woodley Health Centre is temporarily unavailable for Osteopathy remaining open for GP telephone appointments and COVID -19 related use)
During this period Osteopaths have been advised by both the regulator The General Osteopathic Council and their professional body, The Institute of Osteopathy.
My Clinic protocol is therefore as follows:
1.The Clinic will remain open for Osteopathic consultations where required.Osteopaths may keep their Clinics open to treat patients who need essential care or are an emergency.
I am proud to be supporting those who feel they need treatment, those who feel their condition may deteriorate if they don't have treatment, along with NHS workers and Keyworkers.
2.The Clinic follows strict NHS/PHE infection control guidelines*
3. What to expect. If you think you require Osteopathic treatment. Carolyn will arrange a time for a phone triage questionnaire, prior to your appointment.
When attending your treatment Clinic premises will ensure every aspect of hygiene and sanitisation is upheld for your peace of mind and, of course, safety. Masks, gloves, glasses and disposable aprons will be worn .Patients will be asked to wash their hands on entering the premises as well as when leaving after their treatment. All surfaces touched will be washed or sanitised.
If treatment is able to wait, or if Carolyn considers treatment inappropriate, you may benefit from remote phone/video consultations.
Please phone with any questions you may have on 07855477978 or email email@example.com
The service provided by Osteopaths is being seen as an essential part of the community, helping people to stay healthy in addition to helping reduce the burden on the NHS, GP practices and MSK services. As a result Osteopaths are being seen as essential health workers and can remain open to help you.
I wish you stay healthy and well, happy to help.
